Iranian short ‘My Father’ vying at Cefalù filmfest

Iranian short ‘My Father’ is competing at the 2021 Cefalù Film Festival in Italy.

Iranian short flick ‘My Father’ has been competing at the 2021 edition of the Cefalù Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Alireza Teimouri, the short film narrates the story of the members of an Afghan family who immigrate to Iran and face many hardships.

It goes beyond race, country and border and presents a deeper humanistic narration.

‘My Father’ has participated in several festivals in Sweden and was screened in Afghanistan.

The Cefalù Film Festival hosts films from around the world and provides a place to make art and to have dialogue.

The festival awards the best film one thousand Euros. Other awards are the special jury prize, the best director award, the best actress and best actor awards, the best foreign short film, the best animated short film, the best script, and the best music.

The 2021 edition of the event is slated for February 1-28.
